About
Hi! I’m George Kevin Jordan, a Washington, D.C.–based illustrator, multidisciplinary artist, and journalist. I create whimsical, bold art inspired by ’80s–’90s pop culture, cartoons, and music, exploring love, rage, family, masculinity, nature, and climate change through the lens of a Black gay Gen-Xer.
As a journalist, I report on climate, infrastructure, transit equity, and public policy, focusing on how these issues shape everyday life in Black communities and other historically excluded places. I also teach journalism with HumanitiesDC and serve as a Community Connector for The 51st. My work in all forms seeks to spark reflection, imagination, and joy.
